Happy New Year! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the Christmas season with family and friends and managed to get in quality time doing what you desired. Thankfully the weather is a little warmer in the last couple of days – 2017 sure went out in a very cold manner! I did see quite a few quilters on Facebook taking advantage of the cold and were able to stay inside and quilt for days! That would be have been a dream come true to me (silly work getting in my way 😊).
Hope January is a good start to 2018 for everyone! The guild has a lot of wonderful things planned for us in the coming months! The Snowdrop Satchel and Paper Piecing workshops and a UFO this month, then the Retreat and rounding out the year with the Quilt Show – fun and busy times are ahead!
I have a few projects picked out that I will be doing as gifts for Christmas 2018 (yes, I am a slow quilters and need to plan well in advance)…and have even started on the first one – my first carpenter’s star – a double actually, designed by Judit Haju. The second one is the log cabin and will be done in gray, white and teal and can’t wait to see how it turns out!
See you on the 11th!
Bring your loonies & toonies for the draw.
Tickets are 5 chances for $2.00 and available until the meeting starts at 7 pm. Tickets are not available at the break.
